Nothing new to report here...

Oh wait, there is one new news item, and that is...

...that I did not get the job I had the interview for a couple weeks ago. Sobs! So I am still faced with impending unemployment in two weeks time. Yikes! I had another little cry-on-the-phone-to-my-mother session about it last night. I was going to post in this blog about it last night too, but I was afraid of what dreary, "poor me" bullshit I might post in my exaggerated state of despair.

I have to keep pushing forward! I'll have access to the University of Helsinki master's application come Monday. I've just asked a former teacher to write me a letter of recommendation for the program, and I am quite sure he will agree to it (I was a dream student!). I have also received some encouraging replies to my inquiry emails to people at the UH. So all of that is positive.

I'll head to my mom's place out of town tomorrow so I can have some peace and quiet to prepare my documents and application for school, as well as get my shit together to resume job hunting. My mom recently lost her job too, so we can team up on this one. Or annoy each other to death. I'll let you know which it is... ;)
